About Blackjack Atlantic City
Atlantic City Blackjack was born a few years after the legalization of casinos in Atlantic City. Local casino owners jazzed up the traditional table game not only was the name carried through; however, the rules that you would find in Atlantic City land-based casino are carried through in the game. Should any online casino want to make changes to the gameplay, the New Jersey gambling authorities would have to approve of the chances.
Basic Terms
To get you started here a few basic terms which will come up at all the table you play at:
- Surrender: When you are ready to give up, you may forfeit half of your bet and stop playing.
- Split: You have two cards with the same rank you may split them into two hands. Each hand will have its individual bet.
- Stand: You may let the game pass you by locking your hand in around.
- Hit: A hit happens when a player gets dealt one more card from the shoe and must then make a new decision.
- Double Down: You may double bet however you will have to receive another card from the shoe.
Atlantic City Blackjack Rules
The game plays using eight standard decks and similarly to the blackjack basics of play, players have to get as close as possible to 21 without going over and having a better hand than the dealers. However, in Atlantic City Blackjack the dealer stands on a soft or hard 17, and they are allowed to peek and see if they blackjack.
The player can double down on any two cards and can spilt three times.
Players can late surrender which where players can surrender after the dealer has checked for blackjack. You will lose half of your bet and will be excluded from that round.
Atlantic City Blackjack Strategy
Here are ways to alter your strategy to suit the adjusted rules. Provided the dealer shows an Ace, a ten or a nine, and you hold a 16, surrender. If you hold a hard 15 against a dealer’s ace or ten, it is advised to surrender. We know in blackjack If you hold a pair of 8, it is recommended to split; however, in this case, don’t spilt, instead, surrender.
