# What is Mini Roulette?

The large conventional roulette table decorated with even larger stakes and nervous faces can be intimidating for some, that’s why mini roulette was designed- to entice even the most timid players. Mini roulette is a smaller, more compact version of the classic game.

In this variation of the game there are only 12 numbers to choose from- six black and six red as well as the number 0 in green. Other variations have either 37 or 38 numbers and 1 or 2 zeros.

The overall objective and method of playing roulette online remains the same. Players simply have to predict on which number the ball will land once it is dropped onto the spinning roulette wheel and place their bets accordingly. The minimum bet amount in mini roulette is 0.50.

Players can also make several combinations of bets. They can bet on which range of the chamber they predict the ball will land, which area of the board the ball will most likely rest in, whether the outcome will be an odd or even number, and whether the colour of the winning number will be red or black. The payout of each bet is inversely proportional to the probability of it actually occurring.

## What Makes Mini Roulette Different?

For starters, the mini roulette table and smaller wheel size have been decreased to keep its features true to the name of the game, and as mentioned above, there are only twelve numbers on the mini roulette wheel. There are also fewer betting options available in this version of the game. However, the consequences of a losing bet are less severe in mini roulette, as players get half of their initial wager back when the ball lands in the zero pocket. These differences subsequently affect the house edge and payouts available in mini roulette. Have a look at the table below to get a better sense of the type of bets, minimum and maximum wager requirements, the payouts associated with each bet and the various probabilities of securing a win in mini roulette.

## Why Choose to Play the Mini Roulette Game?

While the probability of actually winning money in mini roulette is much lower compared to other variations of the game, this version is much simpler and its beginner friendly. Perhaps the most appealing aspect of mini roulette is that every time a player loses to the number zero, he or she gets half the value of their bet back. This rule is not applicable in other variations of the game, making mini roulette a pocket friendly option.
