What Does The Horn Bet Pay In Craps?
There are various types of bets that you can make when you play craps online. And, each bet has a different probability of occurring, and therefore a different payout percentage. This time around we’ll focus on the horn bet in craps and what it pays.
What Is A Horn Bet?
A horn bet is one of the many betting options you have in a game of craps. But it’s regarded as a bad bet because of the high house edge it holds. It is placed by the proposition bets on the craps table and is labelled with the words “horn bet” so can’t miss it. This bet includes the numbers 2, 3, 11 or 12.

Horn Bet Payouts
Numbers 2 and 12 pay 30:1 and numbers 3 and 11 pay 15:1. That’s what you can expect to win if you make this bet. It also operates on a one-time rule though, so you must roll either of these numbers on the first try to receive a payout.
High Horn Bets
That’s the basis of it. But, it gets a little more complex than that. Instead of making a regular horn bet, you can also ask the dealer or stickman to double up on one of the four numbers that comprise the horn bet. You can double up on any of the numbers. For example, if you choose to double up on the number 11 it’s called a “horn high yo” bet.
So, if you are betting $1 on each of the other numbers (2, 3 and 12) you’ll bet $2 on the 11 since you’ve decided to double up on that number. Similarly, a horn high 12 craps bet means you’re doubling on the number 12 with $2, and $1 for all the other numbers. A “horn, high aces” bet is when you choose to double up on the number 2. This means you’ll bet $1 on all the other numbers and $2 on the number 2. You can also double up on the number three if you wish.
